In the south west of the country lies the coastal fishing village of Anakao. It boasts beautiful white sandy beaches and has an abundant marine life including turtles, dolphins and flying fish. Snorkelling and canoeing are major attractions and the ring tailed lemurs are particularly cheeky and extremely tame. Watching the sunset whilst enjoying a Three Horses beer is a particularly pleasant experience. A short trip by canoe takes you to the coral island of Nosy Ve which is home to a breeding colony of Red Tailed Tropical Birds.
